Press Release

Date: March 19, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

In case you missed it, yesterday Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) appeared live on Newsmax's American Agenda to discuss the growing humanitarian and national security crisis at the southern border.

"What we're seeing unfold is a failure by the Biden administration to recognize the crisis they created and really address it," Congressman Keller said during the interview. "We know kids and women are being taken advantage of by cartels and people who don't really have their best interests in mind. It's just chaos."

Congressman Keller also touched on the Biden administration limiting press access at border facilities:

"The President has not been to the border, and the administration has not acknowledged there's a crisis," Keller said. "By not allowing press to the border, they don't have to face the fact that the public is going to see the images of the crisis they created."

Congressman Keller went on to explain the far-reaching impacts of the border crisis:

"It's impacting people's lives negatively. Not just the people who are risking their lives and being taken advantage of to get here, but the people of America," Keller said. "We have American citizens who can't travel or go anywhere without a mask, yet they are allowing people to come into our country that might be COVID-positive," Keller said. "It's time for accountability."

BACKGROUND:

While the crisis at the southern continues to worsen, House Democrats utilized their manufactured crisis to call a vote on two partisan bills this week that would grant blanket amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants and fail to seek bipartisan solutions for immigration reform.

H.R. 6, the Dream and Promise Act -- will significantly worsen the Biden border surge by incentivizing more illegal crossings by individuals who expect to benefit from Democrats' mass-amnesty policies.

H.R. 1603, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act -- grants mass amnesty and a path to citizenship to more than one million illegal alien farm workers and their families, flooding the labor market with non-citizen workers.
