Rep. Maloney Praises Introduction of President Biden's American Jobs Plan

Today, Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) issued the following statement after the introduction of President Biden's American Jobs Plan.

"From day one, President Biden's top priority has been tackling the health and economic crises caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The America Rescue Plan is doing just that, by putting vaccines in arms and money in the pockets of American families. With the introduction of the American Jobs Plan, the President's administration moves to address the country's urgent need to Build Back Better following this devastating pandemic.

"The goal of this package is straightforward -- rebuilding the American economy. By enacting it, we will create millions of good-paying union jobs, invest in American workers, and boost America's global competitiveness. It will do all of this while reinvigorating American infrastructure in a way that we have not seen since the 1960's.

"I am proud to support today's proposal, an essential piece of President Biden's Build Back Better promise. Investment in our nation's infrastructure has a long tradition of bipartisan support, and I hope to join my Democratic and Republican colleagues in Congress to create and pass this plan for a better future."
