The Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision 48 years ago today legalized abortion and affirmed women's autonomy over our own bodies. Yet sweeping state-level abortion bans -- even in rape and incest cases -- and four years of Trump Administration legal assaults and court-packing have undermined this landmark ruling. Fortunately, we now have allies in the White House.

President Biden and Vice President Harris have the power to unravel Trump's anti-choice legacy, from reinstating Title X to repealing the global gag rule. But Biden and a Democratic Congress face a slew of Trump-appointed federal judges and a Supreme Court packed with anti-abortion ideologues. That is why on this Roe v. Wade anniversary, pro-choice advocates must fully re-commit to protecting a women's agency over her own body, and defeat any politician who stands in the way of a woman's personal autonomy.
