Congressman Jim Costa (CA-16) released the following statement after Pete Buttigieg was confirmed as the Secretary of Transportation:

"We can no longer live off our grandparents' investments. We must invest in clean, sustainable infrastructure to advance our transportation systems and recover from this devasting pandemic. I look forward to working with Secretary Buttigieg, and I am hopeful that he will prioritize investment in clean transportation technologies like High Speed Rail."
