Boyle Statement on Today's Senate Impeachment Vote

Statement

Date: Feb. 13, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (PA-02) released the following statement regarding today's impeachment vote in the U.S. Senate:

"The evidence presented by the House Manager's team this week was damning and clear. President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States, threatened the integrity of the democratic system, and interfered with the peaceful transition of power--a complete and absolute betrayal of his oath of office.

One month ago, I voted to impeach the President for inciting a violent and deadly insurrection against our democracy. I did my job. Today, a majority of Senate Republicans failed to do theirs.
