Congresswoman Miller Announces Grant to Prevent Addiction in Fayette County

Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention & Control (NCIPC) worth $125,000 to the Fayette County Family Resource Network, Inc. in Fayetteville, West Virginia. The funds will be used for the Fayette Drug-Free Communities Program seeking to reduce youth substance use by using the strategic prevention framework, environmental strategies, ongoing evaluation and collaboration.

"I am grateful for this important funding coming into our community from the CDC," said Congresswoman Miller. "In a time when we are battling the COVID-19 pandemic, we must continue to think about our ongoing fight against addiction here at home. The full force of the American government is working to keep West Virginia safe and healthy, as well as provide the resources needed to combat these public health crises."
