Congressman Steven Horsford to Continue Serving on House Budget Committee

Today, Congressman Steven Horsford announced his re-appointment to the House Budget Committee. Congressman Horsford released the following statement in response to the assignment:

"Continuing my service on the House Budget Committee will allow me to directly work with the Biden-Harris administration to get their legislative priorities passed through all procedures available to the House of Representatives," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "The Budget Committee provides me with a unique opportunity to fight for the needs of hard-working Nevadans, including critical COVID-19 relief, expanded federal unemployment insurance, and food and rental assistance."

The Budget Committee is the chief legislative panel directing federal spending and conducting oversight of the federal budget process. The committee's chief responsibility is to draft an annual Congressional Budget Resolution, which provides a Congressional framework for responsible spending and expands economic opportunities for Americans.

Congressman Horsford will also continue his assignment on the House Ways & Means Committee as a permanent member.
