Congressman Steven Horsford Votes in Support of Fourth Coronavirus Relief Package

Press Release

Date: Dec. 22, 2020
Location: Washington, DC

Last night, Congressman Steven Horsford joined his colleagues in the House in supporting a $900 billion legislative package for families, workers, and small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the larger Fiscal Year 2021 appropriations bill, House Amendment to the Senate Amendment to H.R. 133 -- Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.

"I am glad we were able to put this relief deal together; it is long overdue. This bi-partisan agreement will provide Nevada's workers and small businesses some much-needed relief and help families keep food on the table and a roof over their heads during these difficult times," said Congressman Horsford. "I want to be clear that this is not enough for Nevadans, and I recognize the urgent need for resources to crush the virus so we can open our economy and schools safely. Going into the 117th Congress with the Biden-Harris Administration, we must honor our heroes and front line workers, by supporting state and local government. I will continue fighting for Nevadans so that we get the federal resources needed to put an end to this virus."

This fourth coronavirus relief package extends federal unemployment insurance benefits through March 14, 2021, including $300/weekly federal unemployment supplement. The bill also includes another round of direct payments worth up to $600 per adult or child; funds for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for small businesses; rental assistance; and funding for COVID-19 vaccine distribution and more.
