Moolenaar Welcomes $5 Million Grant Supporting Head Start Program in Greenville

Press Release

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has announced a $5 million grant for EightCAP, to support the Greenville community organization's Head Start program for young children.

"This grant will help provide education, transportation, and meals to children," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "EightCAP does important work to help those in need, and I have voted for grant programs including Head Start, because they fund local organizations and allow them to best serve the children in our community."

EightCAP is a community nonprofit that provides assistance and supports solutions to homelessness and housing issues, food and transportation gaps, and poverty, in addition to its early childhood education programs.

The $5 million grant is part of the Head Start Projects program of the Department of Health and Human Services. More information about the grant is attached to this release.
