Statement

Date: Dec. 11, 2020
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Elections

Congressman Steven Palazzo (MS-4) released the following statement after joining over 100 of his House Republican colleauges in filing an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court supporting the case filed by the state of Texas v. Pennsylvania, et al, to address voting irregularities.

"Americans deserve assurances that we can trust our democratic process and that the 2020 presidential election was secure and free of corruption. This amicus brief is about affirming our deep concerns with the integrity of our election system. Honest and transparent elections are the bedrock of our American democracy," Palazzo said.

Filed by Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) on Thursday, December 10, the amicus brief included 106 cosigners and has since been amended to account for a clerical error that left off several original cosigners, including Palazzo.
