Issues: Elections

In 2018, Missouri voters overwhelmingly voted to approve Clean MO, or Amendment 1, which emphasized fairness and competitiveness in the redistricting process. Yet during the 2020 legislative session, Republicans disregarded the vote of the people and placed a repeal effort, Amendment 3, on the ballot in November.

If this weren't enough, Governor Parson has refused to back no-excuse absentee voting in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, one of numerous attempts by Republicans to stifle voter turnout.

Trish stands with Missouri's voters in voting NO on 3, and having organized efforts to improve voting rights for Missourians as a civilian, Trish believes these actions must be taken at the legislative level:

Passing legislation that supports no-excuse absentee voting

Implementing early voting and automatic voter registration

Opposing any voter suppression efforts that target lawful voters, like purging rolls and requiring photo ID
