Here in South Florida, many of our neighbors and relatives rely on Social Security and Medicare. Our seniors have spent their entire lives contributing to these programs and they deserve to know that Social Security and Medicare will be there for them when they retire. Lois will fight to protect these programs for current and future generations and will resist any efforts to cut benefits.

Making these programs solvent for the long term is vital to their continued survival. We need to focus on combating waste, fraud, and abuse from people trying to make money off these precious programs. That is why Lois has fought against cuts to Social Security, passed proposals that help diminish medical identity theft, and will continue to make sure all Americans pay their fair share in order to support the durability of the program.
