Wagner Announces Suburban Caucus Fall Legislative Platform

Statement

Date: Sept. 16, 2020
Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO), Chair of the House Suburban Caucus, released the following statement announcing the Suburban Caucus Fall Legislative Platform.

"My colleagues and I in the Suburban Caucus have heard firsthand from our constituents about how the pandemic has affected their lives, and it's thanks to these conversations that we have introduced legislation to focus on the health and safety of families and put our country on the right footing for a full recovery. Our Fall Legislative Platform provides commonsense solutions to address the root problems facing families in suburban America during the pandemic. It includes health insurance premium assistance for those who have lost their jobs; telehealth expansion; more funding for childcare providers and schools to safely reopen; resources to help parents cover increased education costs due to at-home learning; protections for the elderly and vulnerable, including COVID-19 outbreak response teams and televisitation programs in nursing homes; and a transportation and infrastructure package. We will continue listening to our constituents so we are responsive to suburban families at a time when so many are in need."
