U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) welcomed the announcement that 19 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FHQCs) in Colorado will receive a combined total of $2,070,052 in quality improvement awards (QIA) from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support healthcare services.

"Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers are on the front lines of this pandemic delivering critical care to those in need," said Senator Gardner. "I'm excited to see this important funding delivered to 19 Federally Qualified Health Centers in Colorado to support healthcare services. Federally Qualified Health Centers provide essential services to their communities, and I'll keep fighting to support their ability to provide care during COVID-19 and beyond."

According to HRSA, QIAs are awarded to promote optimization of overall quality, efficiency, and value of the health care services provided, and to celebrate their achievements in providing high quality care. These awards recognize the highest performing health centers nationwide as well as those that have made significant quality improvement gains.
