Gardner Welcomes $2.8 Million in HUD Grants for Colorado

U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) welcomed the announcement that three public housing authorities in Colorado will receive a combined total of $2,823,000 in grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to help prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in public housing.

"Communities across Colorado are suffering right now as a result of COVID-19 and we must keep working to ensure all areas of our state are receiving relief they need," said Senator Gardner. "I'm proud to see this important funding delivered to three public housing authorities in Colorado to help address the ongoing pandemic."

This funding is made available by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, and is in addition to the more than $5.6 million that Senator Gardner announced Colorado received from HUD earlier this month, $44 million Colorado received from HUD in June, the $2.4 million and $12.7 million Colorado received from HUD in May, and the $4.4 million, $4.3 million, and $34 millionColorado received from HUD in April.

The following housing authorities in Colorado will receive funding:

Housing Authority of the City of Brighton -- $128,700
Loveland Housing Authority -- $435,102
Colorado Division of Housing -- $2,259,198
