Palazzo Announces Annual Academy Day for South Mississippi High School Students

Congressman Steven Palazzo (MS-4)invites South Mississippi high school students to participate in his annualAcademyDaythat will be virtually hosted this year due to the coronavirus. Representatives from the United States NavalAcademy, the United States Air ForceAcademy, the United States Merchant MarineAcademy, the United States MilitaryAcademy,and the United States Coast GuardAcademywill be on the virtualcall to speak withstudents about the opportunities available at each U.S. ServiceAcademy.

Everyyear, Palazzocan nominatea limited number of students to four of the five service academies. The honor of attending a serviceacademycomes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

The event is open to all 9-12graders residing in Mississippi's Fourth Congressional District. Any student interestedin attending the event must RSVP before September 12, 2020. Details for the call will be shared with those who RSVP toAcademyDayvia email.
