Cortez Masto Announces More Than $2 Million for Head Start Programs in Nevada

U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) applauded the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which has awarded $2,743,118 to the University of Nevada, Reno for Early Head Start programs.

"I'm so glad to see these awards go to help pregnant women and families with small children in Nevada. They need extra care and resources at this difficult time. I'll continue to work to make sure that the youngest Nevadans get a strong and healthy start in life, to prepare them for school and everything that comes after."

BACKGROUND:

The University of Nevada, Reno provides several programs for families with children under three years of age, including day care, home visits, and support for parents attending high school.
