Congresswoman Miller Announces COVID-19 Recovery Funding to Strengthen Economy of Southern West Virginia

Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a $300,000 investment from the Economic Development Administration to the Marshall University Research Corporation for the COVID-19 Recovery and Resiliency Project.

"We must focus on rebuilding our economy as we help our communities recover from COVID-19," said Congresswoman Miller. "This funding will support Marshall University's efforts to ensure our region remains prepared and resilient. As we look to the future, I am focused on collaborating with job creators, non-profit organizations, universities, and all levels of government to ensure we can rebuild our economy and create new opportunities that will reinvigorate Southern West Virginia."

As part of the CARES Act funding, this investment will be used by Marshall University to assist in economic recovery efforts, help provide solutions for more online courses, support efforts to prepare and respond to consequences from the COVID-19 pandemic, study economic impacts of the pandemic on our community, and/or assist in professional development programs.
