Kustoff Announces Over $22.9 Million in Funding from the USDA to Invest in Rural West Tennessee Communities

Today, Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08) announced a $500,000 loan and $150,000 grant for Obion County to construct an airplane hangar, a $18,300,000 loan for Crockett County to expand and renovate the Crockett County Middle and High School, and a $4,000,000 loan for the Town of Somerville to construct a fire station and renovate the existing law enforcement station. This funding is part of the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) $153 million investment to build and improve critical community facilities across our nation. It will benefit nearly two million rural residents in 23 states.

"This critical funding will update West Tennessee's infrastructure to help residents and businesses achieve better opportunities and increase safety for everyone," said Rep. Kustoff. "Thank you, President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, for continuing to make rural America a top priority."
