The synthetic and opioid drug epidemics have taken a heavy toll on Central New York. John has been one of the most engaged Members of Congress in fighting back against these scourges, sponsoring bipartisan legislation to more easily stop the importation and sale of synthetic drug substances, and to crack down on foreign drug kingpins. With his assistance, Congress has taken significant action to beat back the drug epidemic.
