Issue Position

I uphold the right of individuals to keep and bear arms. Lawful gun ownership enables Americans to exercise their God-given right of self-defense.

I will not support any proposal that violates the Second Amendment. Gun control is not the way to prevent tragedies and will likely only make it harder for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves against evil in the world.

I believe that Bump-Stocks should be tightly regulated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, but am concerned that every current bill outlawing bump stocks would also outlaw most semi-automatic weapons. I will not support any current bump-stock bill without revisions to preserve historical access to unmodified weapons.
