The influence of dark money in our elections is a grave threat to our democracy. Diane has long been against big money in politics. Diane has pledged not accept any corporate contributions, will support efforts to undo the effects of the Citizen's United court case decision, and will advocate for federally financed elections. She will strengthen voting rights and fight voter suppression by co-sponsoring bills like HR-1 that strengthen the security of our elections.

Scott Tipton is funded in large part by big polluters, anti-choice groups, and by corporate conglomerates. He has received exceedingly large sums of money from joint fundraising committees (JFCs) which allow political organizations to join together and raise unlimited amounts of money from big donors. These groups are completely unaccountable and are a major source of corruption in our political system.
