Following support from Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), the U.S. Department of Transportation is awarding a $1.4 million grant to construct a taxilane at Pitt-Greenville Airport. The taxilane will provide access to a future hangar development to store additional aircraft.

"As Greenville and Pitt County continue to grow, it is important we work to expand and improve existing infrastructure to promote economic growth and attract more jobs to the area," said Senator Tillis. "I am proud we were able to secure this award for Eastern North Carolina and I will continue to advocate for funding on behalf of our great state."

"This is another sign of the great support we receive from our representatives in Washington, D.C.,"says Eric Clark, Chairman of the Pitt Greenville Airport Authority. "I have a deep amount of gratitude for their efforts at a time when economic development is needed more than ever.
