Issue Position

Congressman Connolly will never allow the radical right to dictate how Americans make their personal family planning decisions. He has always defended women's rights from the government trying to overreach into private matters between a woman and her doctor. He also has defended Planned Parenthood against false attacks and fought back against Republican efforts to defund it. He believes in a woman's right to choose.

Gerry has voted against legislation that would allow states to determine what woman services would qualify under Medicaid. He is fighting against these types of bills that would attack those who are vulnerable in our communities. He has supported the Prevention First Act which expanded Medicaid and allowed for affordable prevention measures offered by family planning services, as well as supporting other measures of protection, safety, and access for women. That's why he's proud to be endorsed for re-election by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and National Organization for Women PAC.
