Today, U.S. Representative Ross Spano (R-FL) was presented with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce "Spirit of Enterprise' Award in recognition of his support for pro-growth, pro-business, and constructive governing policies during the 116th Congress.

"I proudly accept this honor on behalf of the residents and small businesses of Florida's 15th Congressional district--they are the drivers of our economy. As a former small business owner, I know all the challenges they are facing this year, and I'm proud to be fighting for them in Washington," said Spano. Adding, "I developed the Great American Comeback to empower these small businesses, and I believe these conservative principles will bring our nation back to economic glory!"

Since arriving in Washington, Rep. Spano has been working diligently on behalf of his district's small business community and has been focused on implementing his "Great American Comeback' economic recovery plan to rebuild our economy. As a previous small business owner, and the sole Florida representative serving on the House Small Business Committee, his knowledge and grasp of policy impact has already helped countless of businesses stay afloat through COVID-19.

"In these uncertain times with daunting economic and social challenges facing our nation, it is imperative that leaders in Washington are focused on propelling American businesses forward to create jobs and economic growth from California to Maine," said U.S. Chamber CEO Thomas J. Donohue.

The U.S. Chamber's prestigious Spirit of Enterprise award is given annually to Members of Congress based on their votes on critical business legislation. This recognition comes just weeks after receiving the new "Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America' award, which recognized Spano for his leadership in supporting America's small businesses.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions. The Chamber advocates for pro-business policies that create jobs and grow the U.S. economy.
