Issue Position

What makes America great is the belief in the rule of law, in that we are all playing by the same set of rules. However, our broken immigration system has led to a country where millions are here illegally while those looking to come into the country legally must wait for years.

The fixes to the system should be straightforward and it starts with securing our border. If our nation isn't able to control who is coming into our country, then the other changes won't mean a thing. We also need to institute e-verify to ensure employers don't profit off of illegal work.

At the same time, we can't let cities and localities flaunt the law and refuse to carry out the laws of the land, also known as 'sanctuary cities.' It's time these sanctuary jurisdictions are ended, once and for all.
