With a 100% pro-choice voting record from Planned Parenthood, Kurt is committed to protecting reproductive rights for all Oregonians. Health care is a fundamental right, and health care means having access to safe and affordable services, including abortion. Every woman must be able to decide whether and when to become a parent -- no matter how much money she makes or how she is insured. Kurt believes that politicians should never come between a woman and her doctor, and is fighting to keep it that way.

Kurt is an original co-sponsor of the Global Health, Empowerment, and Rights Act, which permanently repeals the global gag rule that prohibits providers from giving patients all the reproductive health information and services they request. Kurt also supports fully funding Title X, which provides family planning services to more than 4 million low-income patients a year.
