I could not have attended college without the support of grants, loans, and work study programs. The federal government can and must do more to invest in our students and schools to ensure that all youth receive quality K-12 education and can access higher education opportunities.

✔️I've voted against every single Congressional pay raise and instead use the funds to create scholarships for students in Oregon. I'm proud to have funded 273 scholarships that have gone on to support productive members of our community.

I've always said that the strength of our democracy hinges on a well-educated electorate-- investments in education are investments in our shared future.
