Today, Governor Pete Ricketts issued a statement following news that state general fund tax receipts for April were $345 million, or 45.9 percent below projections.
"This month's tax receipts reflect the impact of the decision by the federal government and State of Nebraska to move the income tax filing deadline to July 15th," said Governor Ricketts. "Sales tax revenue remained strong year over year, and we will continue to monitor the impact of the pandemic on state revenues in future months."
