Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL-03) released the following statement after the successful launch of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, delivering NASA Astronauts Robert Behnken and Doug Hurley to the International Space Station.

"Today, from historic Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center, America took another important step in human spaceflight. For the first time in nearly a decade, American astronauts launched into space from U.S. soil. Another important first, a spacecraft developed by a commercial aerospace company delivered humans into Earth orbit. I applaud NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine for his leadership, the NASA astronauts for their bravery, and the tireless work of Elon Musk and his SpaceX team for making this significant day possible."
