Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), House Homeland Security Committee ranking member, issued the following statement praising the Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism Chairman Max Rose (D-N.Y.) and Ranking Member Mark Walker (R-N.C.) on their leadership to hold China accountable for the "efforts to dissemble, obfuscate, and divert information."

"I applaud the leadership of Chairman Rose and Ranking Member Walker in this arena," Ranking Member Rogers said. "It's imperative that we get to the bottom of China's attempts to rewrite history about the origins of COVID-19 and protect ourselves against their cybertheft efforts. I echo the Chairman and Ranking Member's request for the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Intelligence & Analysis to focus on China's actions. I will work alongside my colleagues to ensure that the Department has all the necessary tools to curb China's malicious acts."
