President Trump Appoints Rep. Zeldin to White House Task Force on Reopening the Economy

Today, President Trump announced his appointment of Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) to the White House Task Force on Reopening the Economy. The mission of this group is to "work together with the White House to chart the path forward toward a future of unparalleled American prosperity. The health and wealth of America is the primary goal, and these groups will produce a more independent, self-sufficient, and resilient Nation."

"Before the outbreak of coronavirus, our nation's economy was stronger than it had ever been," said Congressman Zeldin, who is also a member of the bipartisan Congressional Coronavirus Task Force. "We need to get our economy moving again, but we must do it smartly, precisely and carefully to also avoid another outbreak.
