Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) issued the below statement on Governor Tom Wolf's announcement that a number of Pennsylvania counties will proceed in the reopening process. Notably, the counties of Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Somerset, and Westmoreland will transition into the green phase on Friday, June 5.

"Getting Pennsylvanians safely back to work is my top priority, and it's encouraging that a number of counties in central and western Pennsylvania will transition to the green phase of reopening next week. As the numbers show, we've done our part to slow the spread of coronavirus and protect our community. During this reopening process, it's important that we continue to follow CDC guidelines so that our Commonwealth can move forward safely and expeditiously. Pennsylvania's hardworking families, workers, and small businesses are counting on us to get our economy back on the right track."
