U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) today applauded President Trump's nomination of Toby Crouse to be U.S. Federal District Court Judge for the District of Kansas.

"Toby Crouse is a steady, humble and talented lawyer with an impressive record of experience which includes service as a clerk for 10th Circuit Judge Mary Briscoe, time in private practice with the Foulston Siefkin law firm and most recently service to the State of Kansas as Solicitor General," said Sen. Roberts. "In that role, Toby has aided Attorney General Derek Schmidt in the successful argument of three cases before the United States Supreme Court. I look forward to introducing a fellow K-Stater to my Senate colleagues."

Toby Crouse is from Galva, Kansas, and graduated 15th in his class from KU Law. He is currently serving Kansas as Solicitor General. As Solicitor General, he has represented Kansas in oral arguments before the Supreme Court of the United States three times in a span of thirty days, this is the first time Kansas had argued three cases before the Supreme Court in a single term. Prior to his time at Foulston Siefkin he worked at Shook, Hardy, Bacon for four years.
