Roe on President Trump's Announcement to Suspend Travel from Europe to the United States

Today, Rep. Phil Roe, M.D. (R-Tenn.), released the following statement after President Trump announced a suspension of all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days to help prevent further spread of coronavirus:
"I applaud the president's message tonight. Coronavirus is a serious threat to public health, but we can make meaningful steps to prevent its spread. I believe the halting of travel to Europe is a prudent step in light of the significant ongoing outbreak in several European countries. While I know many measures being taken at the federal, state, and local level may seem overly restrictive, these steps will make this public health crisis more manageable."
