Rep. Kinzinger Urges Residents to Complete 2020 Census

Press Release

Date: March 31, 2020
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL-16) is urging residents of Illinois' 16th Congressional District, and everyone across the country, to fill out the 2020 Census survey online or by phone. This push comes in coordination with the National Census Day tomorrow: April 1, 2020.

"The 2020 Census is important to ensuring the necessary funding is provided to each community, especially during times of crises like we're facing right now," said Congressman Kinzinger. "This questionnaire is quick and easy to complete, so I'm encouraging everyone in IL-16 and across the country to take a few minutes to complete this survey. Every person counts, so please take action today."

Earlier this month, the United States Census Bureau mailed an official invitation to every household in the country. Attached is a copy of that invitation for reference. Included in this mailed envelope is an identification code that can be used to complete the census survey. If you have not received anything from the Census Bureau yet, you can still respond online without one. For those without access to the internet, instructions are outlined in the mailed invitation on how to complete the census by phone or mail.

All responses are secure and if you need assistance, please call this toll free number: (844) 330-2020. The Census Bureau also offers resources to teachers to ensure all students are counted, and that information can be found here. For more information on the 2020 Census, visit their website here.
