Statement

Date: Feb. 28, 2020
Location: Greensboro, GA
Issues: Religion

Congressman Jody Hice (GA-10) recently honored Greene County resident Connie Oyler as the "Hice Headliner" for the month of February. Each month, he recognizes one outstanding local citizen who goes above and beyond to help their neighbors and strengthen our community.

"I'm honored to recognize Connie Oyler, who over the past five years has made an immeasurable impact in her community as a passionate and devoted volunteer at ATLAS Ministry,"said Congressman Hice."Her work at the community resource center includes mentorship by participating in Bible lessons, helping students with their homework, reading with children one-on-one, and facilitating games and activities. According to Connie, "A little goes a long way in volunteering. You don't have to do a 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to make a big difference, but consistency is important.' I couldn't agree more, and on behalf of Georgia's 10th Congressional District, thank you, Connie, for your commitment to the children in our community."
