Today, Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) issued the following statement on the death of Captain Ryan S. Phaneuf of Hudson, who was killed on Monday in Afghanistan while serving Operation Freedom's Sentinel. Phaneuf, 30, was assigned to the 37th Bomb Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Captain Ryan S. Phaneuf," said Kuster. "We are forever indebted to those who answer the call of duty. My heart is with Captain Phaneuf's loved ones as well as the family of his fellow airman, Lt. Col. Voss of Guam."
