Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (NE-1) offered the following statement today after House Passage of the Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers (PAWS) for Veterans Therapy Act.

"Whether they cooked, cleaned, saw battle or served our country in another way, every veteran's service is meaningful to us all. Today the House passed the PAWS for Veterans Therapy Act----a bill I proudly helped lead to connect service dogs with vets," Fortenberry said.

"The PAWS Act fully integrates service dogs into treatment options for our courageous veterans. On behalf of all vets, I am so honored to support this important legislation," Fortenberry added.
