Today, Congressman Kevin Brady (TX-08) released the following statement after voting against H.Con.Res 3, a partisan resolution that emboldens Iran and jeopardizes America and our allies abroad:
"The President has the legal and constitutional authority to eliminate a terrorist who has taken the lives of hundreds of Americans, and who was planning imminent attacks on countless more.
"This toothless resolution is nothing more than a dangerous, politically motivated messaging bill that seeks to undermine our President and threaten his ability to protect our country -- and I was proud to join the bipartisan vote against it.
"I wish my Democratic colleagues would stop defending terrorists and start defending America."
