Statement

Date: Jan. 7, 2020

Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Chief Deputy Whip of the House Democratic Caucus, issued the following statement after the death of former U.S. Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick:

"Representative Michael Fitzpatrick was an exceptional leader who represented the people of Pennsylvania. It was an honor to serve with Mike in Congress. While he was taken from us far too soon, I know that Mike helped to advance many important causes throughout his life. I know the Fitzpatrick family's legacy of public service will carry on in Congress with Mike's younger brother, Representative Brian Fitzpatrick, whom I am honored to call a dear friend and colleague. Jennifer and I extend our condolences to Brian and the entire Fitzpatrick family during this difficult time."
