Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02) released the following statement regarding the death of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani:

"The United States has the right to defend itself from any threat. Iran and its puppets put American lives at risk when our embassy was attacked in Iraq. Today, President Trump and our military took appropriate action against Iran and its terrorist general, Qassem Soleimani. The message is clear: any hostility toward Americans will not be tolerated."
