Duncan Opposes Democrats' War Powers Resolution

Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) released a statement opposing the Democrats' War Powers Resolution, which restricts the President from engaging in hostilities against Iran.

"Qassem Soleimani was the world's most dangerous terrorist, with the blood of more than 600 Americans on his hands. The President of the United States lawfully and decisively took him out. I never thought I'd see the day when Democrats would still condemn those actions. Yet, here we are, with House Democrats passing a resolution to appease their radical, anti-Trump base stating they wish to restrict the President's constitutional role as Commander-in-Chief. This undermines our national security and the ability for President Trump to respond to imminent threats. Congressional Democrats' goal is to stop President Trump no matter what, and this resolution signals they would even stop him from keeping our nation safe. I hope America is paying attention to the dangerous positions being taken by House Democrats."
