Location: Washington D.C.

Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), Republican Leader of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health invited Vistra Energy to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Republicans' Energy and Environment Showcase today.

"Vistra Energy is a leader in energy innovation," Burgess said. "I appreciate Vistra's efforts to provide their community with safe, reliable, and clean energy. During the showcase, Vistra will be highlighting the importance of choice when it comes to energy consumption."

"This showcase is focused on reducing the barriers to innovation and providing us with the opportunity to learn about new technologies. These technologies will strengthen our energy security, power the economic engines of the future and give reasonable solutions to climate change."

The showcase highlights the efforts being made by Republicans to put forward plausible solutions for climate change. By focusing on providing a variety of clean and affordable options for energy consumption, Congress will be able to address this important issue. Heavy-handed mandates hurt energy choice, increase price, and stifle innovation.

Other presenters at the showcase include NET Power, NuScale Power, and the United States Army.
