Rep. Williams Praises House Passage of NDAA

Statement

Date: Dec. 11, 2019
Location: Washington D.C.
Issues: Defense

Congressman Roger Williams (R-TX-25) today released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives approved the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2020:

"I'm grateful that we will continue our bipartisan tradition of passing a NDAA that provides for the Department of Defense and our men and women in uniform. The final legislation offers our troops a well-deserved pay raise, continues the department's readiness and modernization efforts, and supports the national defense strategy. I've been calling on my colleagues to come to the table to deliver results for our military -- and that's what we did.

"We must continue to focus on providing full, predictable funding for the Department of Defense so that our warfighters are equipped with the resources they need to remain the most modern, ready and lethal organization in the world. Our servicemen and women will always be my top priority in Washington."
