Congressman Jim Costa (CA-16) released the following statement after the Department of Transportation announced the City of Fresno will receive a $10 million dollar BUILD grant, the final piece of funding for the $120 million dollar Veterans Boulevard project:

"This is great news for the City of Fresno and its residents, said Costa. The Veterans Boulevard project will help improve our air quality, traffic safety and economy. This was a team effort, with valley leaders working together many years to get funding for this important piece of infrastructure. I'm thrilled to see that our persistence paid off. It's federal dollars like this --matching with state and local funding -- that will help our community flourish."
