Today U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) spoke about his work to protect consumer data privacy at a hearing held by the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

"In Colorado, we cherish our personal privacy, which is at the core of our Rocky Mountain values," said Senator Gardner. "That's why I strongly support efforts to support a national, bipartisan privacy policy that respects Colorado's values, respects America's values, consumer choice, and the appropriate safeguarding of our private lives."

Gardner spoke with the panel of witnesses about his bipartisan Protecting Privacy in our Homes Act, privacy as a fundamental human right, and the use of facial recognition technology by the Chinese Communist Party.
