Congresswoman Angie Craig's Statement on Veterans Day

Statement

Date: Nov. 11, 2019
Issues: Veterans

Today, U.S. Rep. Angie Craig released the following statement in honor of Veterans Day.

"Today, we honor our veterans, the brave men and women who volunteer to serve our country in the armed forces and keep us safe. We have a responsibility to make sure our veterans are taken care of when they come home. That's why I'm fighting to eliminate the backlog at the VA to ensure no veteran has to wait to get the benefits they have earned, making sure our veterans have job opportunities that honor and build on the skills they learned through their service, and working to provide childcare during necessary doctor's appointments so that veterans never have to choose between taking care of their family and themselves. It's also why I asked the Mayo Clinic to immediately accept TRICARE, allowing more than 7,000 veterans in Goodhue and Wabasha Counties to receive high-quality health care in their communities," said Rep. Angie Craig.
