Gianforte Tells Pelosi to "Stop Dithering" on Trade Deal. Again. For the Fourth Time.

Statement

Date: Dec. 9, 2019
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Greg Gianforte released the following statement in response to today's November 2019 jobs report from the U.S. Department of Labor:

"November's jobs report is tremendous news for Montana workers and proof our economy continues to grow stronger. Unemployment is at a 50-year low, and wages are growing. The tax cuts and regulatory relief President Trump and Republicans have delivered are working, and I'll continue working so that Montanans in every corner of our state have access to more opportunities and greater prosperity."
Background:

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, 266,000 new American jobs were created in November, exceeding projections by more than 40 percent.

Since President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law, nearly 8.7 million new American jobs have been created, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

The U.S. Department of Labor also reports the unemployment rate is 3.5 percent, matching a 50-year low.

In the past 12 months, wages for private sector workers increased 3.1 percent, including a 3.6 percent increase for nonsupervisory workers.

In Gianforte's September statewide town hall, 71 percent of Montanans rated the current state of the national economy as either "very good" or "good."
