U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement in reponse to President Donald J. Trump using the word 'lynching' to describe the ongoing impeachment inquiry:

"I cannot remain silent on the president's latest use of language to belittle the plight of African-Americans who were murdered because of the color of their skin. The use of the word 'lynching' to describe a lawful investigation into his administration is offensive, repugnant, and remarkably racist. I applaud my colleagues leading the ongoing impeachment inquiry. Americans deserve to know the full truth.
